At Kelowna airport

We're in the departure lounge of the Kewlona airport, waiting for our flight, which has been delayed by about 10 minutes.  But, it could be a far worse delay.

The security staff in the airport was very polite, and patient with my absent mindedness.  Here's hoping that the Vancouver Airport, and American Customs are just as understanding.  But, by then, I should be more awake.  I'm really just waiting for the last cup of coffee to really kick in.

Otherwise, we're just relaxing, waiting for our flight.  In just a matter of a couple of hours, we'll be in the nice, warm desert of Las Vegas, Nevada.  BOOYA!!!

Las Vegas Baby

Freshly shaved (from the ears up), packed (other than my computer) and ready to fly, quite literally.
On Wednesday 22, I'm on the road to Vernon, then from there, I'm taking flight to Las Vegas.  This trip is more of a personal vacation, but, naturally, my camera will be going on the trip.

This will be my first time in Vegas, so, honestly, I'm not sure what to expect, but I'm looking forward to finding out.  I'll be staying at Circus Circus, with my mom and my daughter.

I'll be trying to keep up on uploading photos while I'm in Vegas, and I will also be uploading the photos from the show at the Arts Centre in Prince George from earlier this month, featuring Cast from the Stars and We the Martyr.

For those who've been looking forward to the photos from the show, I do have to apologize for not getting them up sooner, but, with my limited access to high speed, I haven't been able to get the photos up yet.  But, don't worry, they'll get there.

DeltaSigma Update, Jan 14 2012

Yeah, it's been a while since I've made a journal update... Again.
The main reason is, I don't have a very reliable internet connection. I have to live in one of the country's last dial-up areas, and, it still doesn't look like we'll be getting high-speed any time soon. <sigh> Granted, I have a laptop, but, it's an older, slightly larger one. So, it's a little cumbersome.

In photography news, I did a photo shoot at a friends for New Years eve. Photos are up on my personal Facebook for the moment, but, after I have had the chance to go through them, I'll be reposting my personal favorites onto the DeltaSigma Project Facebook page.

Also, on February 4th, I'll be heading to Prince George for the CD release show and party for We The Martyr, and local PG metal band. Definitely looking forward to that, and I'll keep you posted with any and all news.

With winter here, I don't have too many other projects on the go right now, but, I'm certainly looking forward to spring, when travel is a little easier.

So, if anybody has any ideas for photography projects that I might be able to take on, let me know on my Facebook page:

Lastly, for those who are interested, or already do, follow me on Twitter, I've changed my name from @DeltaSigmaProj to @TheDeltaSigma

Until later, have a good New Year.

Sincerely,
DeltaSigma

Long Days

Uhg
Sadly, with how much work I have, I have not been able to get any real photography in lately. I've also fallen behind on building the Delta-Sigma Project website. The most likely thing there is, I'll probably just cheap out an use a template site. But, first, I need to take some actual photos. I've also been considering making a seperate Facebook account just for DeltaSigma.

Since I am getting out for a little tomorrow, besides the standard home-to-work and back again, I'm hopeful to get a few shots here and there.

New Website under planning

Well, when I got home from work today, I was hoping to get started on the new Delta-Sigma Productions website, but, with how long the day's been at my regular job, I'm just too damned beat to start anything.

But, tomorrow night (Saturday) I'll definitely get something started.
I'm still trying to work out where I will host the site, since most hosts charge a little more than I can manage at the moment. I also want to try and avoid using a bland online photo album. I don't feel like that would capture my work properly. And then there is always the organization.

Anyway, once something is going, I'll definitely be posting both here, and on my twitter about my new site.

First Entry

Welcome

My name is David Stanley, and this blog is attached to my "production" compnay, Delta-Sigma.

I'm an amateur photgrapher, website designer, and author. Through this blog, and it's soon-coming companion website, I will be sharing my works. These work will primarily consist of my photography and writing.

It is safe to say, at that point, I will more than likely be concentrating on my photography for the next little while. Though, I do hope that I am able to do some writing in the near future, which would then be published either on this blog, or again is soon-soming companion site, after any original materials have been appropriately copyrighted.

As for the moment, I don't quite as yet have any photos to share. At least, nothing I consider high enough quality to share. I am still in the process of learning the ins and outs of my camera, and freely admit that I suck right now. Hehe.

When I do have something of note, howeer, I will definately be sharing with anybody who care to see them.
